Newman College Celebrates Results in GCSE Exams Summer 2023, Pledging Continued Growth

Newman College is proud to announce its performance in the recently concluded GCSE exams. The results reflect the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, and staff, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all involved. Results day is truly the best day of the year. To be in the room filled with love and pride of staff for their students’ achievements, and the love and thanks from students for the service and support of staff.
Pictured above, Hugo Xie was one of Newman’s top performing students for progress and wanted to say, “Newman made me realise I needed to work hard, I felt really challenged here”. Also pictured above, Farah Abu Sharkh, who achieved an amazing set of ten Grade 9s will go on to study Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry, with aspirations to be a doctor or Mathematician.

Copple and Fatima Zahra achieved an incredible fifty-five Grade 8s and 9s between them to be some of Newman’s highest attaining students this year.
The pass rate shows the hard work achieved during a difficult time and a significant number of students achieved top grades. Newman College once again demonstrates its commitment to academic excellence alongside giving all students opportunity to be celebrated beyond GCSEs. These results are a testament to the teaching standards, the supportive learning environment, and the unwavering focus on nurturing each student's potential.
