Year 7 Rebanding

Dear parents and carers,

As we approach the end of our first term, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate our year 7 pupils for the wonderful start they have made to secondary school. They have shown courage and reliance navigating the building and coping with a demanding timetable.

In the summer we made the decision to keep pupils in their form for all their lessons apart from Maths and Science, this was to allow the pupils to settle and become familiar with the changes from primary school. This was only a temporary measure for term 1. Following internal and external assessments carried out in the first half term we are now able to re-band pupils and place them into their new teaching groups.

When your child returns in January 2022, they will remain in the same form with the same form tutor and pupils, but they will be issued with a new timetable with their new classes for all subjects. On the first Monday back this will be handed out to them during form time.
