Our goal is to instil in our pupils a love of literature and language; we want to develop pupils who are passionate about what they read and what they write. We do this through providing a varied and thoughtful curriculum based on strong texts which challenge and engage.
We mix elements of the literary canon with the very best of non-fiction, building up knowledge and skills in a spiral model which reinforces prior learning and encourages pupils to aspire to be a scholar of English, enabling them to take their place as well-informed, educated adults in a modern society.
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path"
Psalms 119:105
