Culture Day was a huge success in celebrating our diversity and the many cultures, heritages and identities we have at Newman. Aside from a wonderful day of learning, sharing and celebrating, we also used the day to raise money for charity. Students brought in donations, as well as hosting a Talent Show and Stalls after school. All of this raised a massive £645 which will go to a number of charities chosen by our students and staff, to help those around the world in education, poverty and safety. Alongside this a number of students brought items for our food pantry, Dawn's Pantry, to support our local community. We are so proud of how our community have shown service to others!

Here are some photos of the flags and representation of culture from the day, shared by Oldham Interfaith Forum.

It’s wonderful to witness an event that goes beyond “just being organized” to truly embody human values. Culture Day at Newman shows how education doesn’t have to be confined to classrooms – it can ripple outward to the community, creating positive impacts both locally and globally. Empowering students to lead fundraising, make choices, and decide where the support goes helps cultivate proactive thinking and empathy. This is where Sprunki Game matters: for students, coordinating layered social activities requires creativity, harmony in organization, and the ability to experiment with different approaches to achieve clear and meaningful outcomes.
