Our whole school community is proud to share the news that we were visited by Bishop John Arnold this morning. We are deeply thankful and humbled by his presence in our school and his meaningful interaction with our young people and their families.
He came to celebrate Mass with our student chaplains who have achieved the Faith in Action Award, and to present them with their certificates and badges. We are proud to share that 10 students received the Silver Award and 24 students received the Bronze Award. The students were joined by their family members for the celebration, and we were also delighted to welcome Father Sumner, Canon Michael Job, Father Joel, and Father Fabias.
These young people are a vital part of our faith life, helping to shape and guide our Catholic mission. They work diligently within our school community to put their faith into action, enrich our prayer life, and support others on their faith journey. Their mission extends beyond the school, into their families, communities, and parishes—where many take on leadership roles.
Mrs McNee congratulated the students, calling them "beacons of hope for the world and true examples of both our Patron's guidance and our Newman values." She shared that their work and character are a testament to the presence of God in our daily lives, proof that the Holy Spirit is at work within us. She expressed confidence that these young people will go on to make an even greater impact in the wider world.
Well done to all of our Chaplains! Our whole community is so proud of you!

What an inspiring reflection on the Faith in Action Mass! It’s beautiful to see how faith translates into real-world service. Poetry book Publishing can also be a form of action, sharing hope through words.
