May 8th - Newman mourns Pope Francis
We are sure our whole community was saddened on Easter Monday to hear about the death of Pope Francis. A Pope known for being the People’s Pope, who inspired many with his gifts of service, humility and love.
When we joined back together as a Newman family, after our Easter holidays we have made sure we have both celebrated the life and guidance of Pope Francis, and informed our students on what happens next in the Church.

Newman staff and students eagerly waited for the news one the New Pope to be announced.

Month of May - Mark 10 Mission
Staff and students have been encouraged to take part in the Mark 10 Mission Rosary Challenge as we use this month to celebrate Mary.
Staff have been joining together in the Chapel each morning to pray a decade of the Rosary and students have been reflecting on the importance of Mary for the Catholic Church.
We are sharing this Rosary Challenge with families should you want to use it to celebrate Mary.
