On Thursday 14th December, fifty-two pupils from Years 7 & 8, plus five members of staff, visited Blackpool Opera House to watch the touring production of Shrek. Travelling by coach, the pupils enjoyed spending the afternoon with their friends and getting to visit one of the North West's famous theatres.
The production was an amazing musical retelling of the classic DreamWorks movie, and all the pupils really enjoyed how entertaining and funny the show was. We were even treated to some pupils busting out a few dance moves during the show's finale, at which point the audience are encouraged to get to their feet and clap along. If you’ve not seen the show, we’d highly recommend it.
We can’t wait to visit the theatre again, with plans already in place to take school trips to watch ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, ‘& Juliet’, and ‘Wicked’.
