On the evening of Monday 7th July, the Central Forum was alive with music, as students took to the stage for this year’s Summer Concert. The event featured a vibrant programme of performances from a wide range of musical ensembles, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of pupils from across the school.

The audience enjoyed a varied and engaging line-up, including performances by the School Band, Senior and Junior Choirs, Untuned and Tuned Percussion Ensembles, Guitar Ensemble, and Year 7 and Year 8 Djembe Ensembles. In addition, a number of soloists and pupils receiving instrumental and singing lessons shared their skills, creating an evening full of wonderful music.

Mr Edwards, Curriculum Leader for music, said, “We are so proud of our young people and all the effort they put into preparing for this year's summer concert. It was amazing to see how they performed together and created an evening full of quality musical entertainment. We are incredibly proud of the wide-ranging musical activities on offer to the pupils at Newman Catholic College and can't wait for our next performances.”

It was a wonderful evening that truly celebrated the joy of making music and the God-given talents of our pupils. Congratulations to all involved and thank you to all friends and family who attended the event.

The students’ dedication truly shone through in the summer concert, showcasing both teamwork and the breadth of musical opportunities at Newman Catholic College. A brief round of Friday Night Funkin could be a fun way for them to relax after such an energetic performance.
