A stellar group of Year 10 mathematicians took a trip to the Alan Turing Building at the University of Manchester to take part in some maths workshops, a lecture, and a competition. The boys were particularly captivated by speaker Colin Wright who wow-ed us all with the topology of the Moebius strip and the patterns in juggling tricks. Mr Gibson & Miss Cowley were particularly proud of the boys’ enthusiasm, energy & mathematical prowess during the competition where they worked brilliantly in teams with students from other schools.
